I absolutely love this 21-Day Fix approved oven roasted salmon recipe! 3 simple ingredients found in every household make this dish so tasty that no one will be able to tell it only took about 2 minutes to throw together… our little secret! It makes an appearance on my meal plan every couple of weeks because it is so easy and convenient. The kids love it as well, it truly is a winner for the whole family.

Be mindful of the steak spice mix you are using as many mixes contain a ton of salt.

I like to serve the salmon on a bed of rice or quinoa (if I have any yellow containers left…) and with a side of steamed vegetables.

Many variations of this recipe can be made by substituting one or more of the ingredients. Swap the steak spice for some curry powder and the dijon for lemon juice and you have a whole new dish that was just as simple as the first. Use your imagination to find fun flavour combinations and you will never get tired of eating the same thing every week!

Oven Roasted Salmon

Ingredients (2 portions)
  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1tsp pure maple syrup
  • 1tsp steak spice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet skin side down.

In a small bowl, mix together the dijon mustard and the maple syrup. Spread this mixture onto the salmon and sprinkle with the steak spice.

Cook the salmon for approximately 25 minutes or until it comes apart easily with a fork. Serve on a bed of Quinoa with a side of green beans.

Container Count per portion: 1 Red, 1 Yellow, 1 Green
